Speaking about his appointment, Jason Burgess said: “The chance to join the board of an established business such as The 1810 Company with so much further potential is something that really excites me.

“We have a fantastic team, a great product range and superb infrastructure. All this combined gives an enviable opportunity to grow in a sustainable way.

“These solid foundations and background support will provide me with everything I need to succeed in my role of developing business in the contract market.

“I see this being achieved by building on the established relationships within the contract sector alongside growing our exposure from a specifications perspective within architects, developers, house builders and contractors.

“I am so pleased to have the opportunity to be involved with 1810 at this stage of the company’s development and cannot wait to get stuck in and make a real difference.”

Earlier this year, the company recently launched an online order management system – the 1810 hub.
