Sales and marketing director Richard Walker resigns from De Dietrich Kitchen Appliances

Sales and marketing director of De Dietrich, Richard Walker has resigned after eight years working with the company. He has accepted a senior position with Glen Dimplex Home Appliances and will be relocating.

Richard Walker joins Glen Dimplex Home Appliances on Monday June 2  to take up the role of head of category for built-in across all brands. He will report in to sales and marketing director, David Garden. 

Walker joined De Dietrich in 2006 from Electrolux, when he accepted the newly-created role of marketing director and within the same year was promoted to sales and marketing director. He managed a 16-strong sales and marketing team.

Responsible for steering the direction of De Dietrich and Fagor in UK & Ireland, he has seen both brands through the sale of its parent company Fagor Brandt to Algerian industrial group Cevital.

Northern Europe export development director of Brandt France, Sebastien Cuault said: “I have greatly enjoyed working with Richard over the years. He has achieved a huge amount for the business and I thank him for all his hard work and loyalty. He has been offered an excellent opportunity with his new company, and I wish him well for the future.”
