The freestanding Plisse basin is made from Flumood and features softened parallel lines, that run lengthwise down the surface with similar aesthetics to a pleated fabric.

Derived from observing the texture created by working with thick marble and waterjet technology, it has created an irregular and imperfect pattern.

With the graphic relief creating an interplay between light and shadow, it offers a visual lightness to the solid structure.

Flumood is a patented solid surface material, created by Antonio Lupi that is reportedly easy to clean, easily restorable in the case of scratches, burns or wear.

It can be used to make basins and countertoprs and is available in a choice of a smooth satin finish or textured with an embossed surfaces which replicates natural stone slabs.

Paolo Ulian has previously worked with Antonio Lupi on a collection of freestanding marble washbasins, which include Introverso, Controverso and Pixel.

In addition, he has also created collections of Carrara marble vases for French designer furniture company Roche Bobois.

Antoni Lupi has recently introduced Opale and Vitreo freestanding washbasins, designed in partnership with Carlo Carlombo.

Founded in glass furnishings, the company introduced its first bathroom furniture products under the brand name Cristal Lupi Luxor.

It showcased its bathroom furniture in 1983 at Cersaie and in 1986 created the Antonio Lupi Bath Collection.
