Türoa has already scooped industry awards, including the Red Dot Product Award and provides Methven with its third patent, following the launch of its Satinjet and Aurajet shower collections.

It will be shown alongside Methven’s matt black products, including its halo-shaped Aio collection at this year’s Sleep+Eat.

Head of marketing at Methven UK, Simon Cornelius commented: “ It is fantastic to be able to offer this special finish using our own facility in New Zealand, guaranteeing the new collection meets our exceptionally high manufacturing standards.

“The results are not only  stunning but extremely durable meaning the new collection will provide an elegant option for any bathroom and will truly stand the test of time.”

Established in New Zealand as an iron and brass foundry by Scottish born George Methven, it began manufacturing taps and copper laundry vessels in 1896.

It grew during the post-war building boom in New Zealand and invented technology to solve unbalanced water pressure in 1995.

Methven introduced its patented Satinjet technology in 2004 and acquired the Deva Tap Company in the UK in 2007.

In 2011, the Methven brand launched into the UK market and launched Aurajet technology in 2015.

The company was acquired in 2019 by Australian building fixtures and fittings supplier GWA Group.
