Controllable by the wave of a hand, appliance supplier CDA now offers a touch free extractor in a choice of two sizes.

Available in 600mm (EXG60) and 900mm width (EXG90), it boasts an angled black design and has been created so there is no need to touch the appliance.

Reducing the touch points also means lessening the possibility of spreading viruses or bacteria in the kitchen.

The gesture control also makes the extractor accessible to anyone who finds reaching the touch controls difficult.

It operates at an extraction rate of 619m3/h at normal setting and has a boost setting to clear the air after dinner.

The four-speed extractor also has an LCD display, washable grease filters and a delay time setting.

It was previewed by CDA at Kbb Birmingham, alongside the launch of steam ovens, a wine cooler and full-height fridge and freezer.
