Italian appliance manufacturer Elica has launched the Virtus-90-TFT, an electric single oven with Hydrocleaning function.

The oven offers a variety of cooking functions including conventional, fan grill, and pizza modes, has a temperature range of 30-300°C, and comes with a food probe thermometer.

The food and temperature probe has been designed to offer precise cooking by monitoring the internal temperature of meat and fish to control the timing of the cooking programme.

It also helps to avoid heat loss caused by opening the door to check the food.

The Virtus-90-TFT oven is equipped with a system that allows for moist heat or dry heat cooking by either retaining or expelling vapour produced inside the cavity.

Completing the specification are telescopic shelves and a triple glazed oven door to protect against high surface temperatures.

The Elica Virtus range also includes a 600 x 600mm oven, a 600mm warming drawer and a 600 x 4450mm CombiSteam Microwave oven.

It follows on from the introduction of its LHOV appliance – combining oven, hob and hood – and which marked Elica’s first step from extraction into built-in cooking.
