Surface materials distributor IDS has strengthened its partnership with acrylic solid surface manufacturer Durasein and launched a newly-updated range of sinks and bowls.

The range is aimed at offering KBB retailers, fabricators and manufacturers a solid surface that combines design and accessible pricing, with ex-stock availability.

Durasein has now added 20 designs to its existing 60-strong range. These include onyx, concrete and marble effects which mirror the natural material, plus plain and particle-based whites and accent colours.

Four decors have been created for IDS, which has recently changed ownership to Chiltern Capital, and the UK market.

These are Blanca Carrera, a marble design featuring distinctive veining; Sandstone, a warm organic flecked décor; Fossil, a soft grey concrete design; and Blush, a muted concrete design with a subtle pink hue.

The choice of cast sinks and bowls has been updated with new sizes and designs, all of which are manufactured in-house by Durasein.

Durasein can also be used for bathroom vanity units, washroom troughs, kitchen worksurfaces, cabinet fronts and island units.

It can be jointed, cut, shaped, thermoformed and moulded for use on horizontal and vertical applications and carries NSF-51 certification for use in food preparation areas.

The entire Durasein range is stocked in the UK in a standard sheet size of 12mm x 3660mm x 760mm, with the most popular whites available in additional thicknesses ranging from 3mm to 25mm and sheet sizes of 1270mm to 1520mm.

Other decors are also available in these additional formats on a MOQ basis and lead time.

The range is supported by Point of Sale materials including sample presentation box, brochure,  display name plate and express sample service.

Durasein is supported by a 10-year warranty and is available for delivery in 24-48 hours from all of IDS’s nationwide branches.
