Worktop supplier Konigstone has launched an integrated Under-surface charger for stone surfaces in kitchen islands, offices, bedside tables and bars.

The round white device works through non-metallic surfaces between 8mm and 12mm thick.

For surfaces thicker than 12mm, such as its Himalayan Valley Konig Quartz surface, the device needs to be routed in.

Secured to the underside of the surface, the device is connected to power using a USB-C power cable and a three-pin plug adaptor, while a scratch-resistant sticker is positioned above the charging point.

The device uses the Apple (7.5W) and Samsung (9W) fast charge protocols and is compatible with AirPods and most accessories with Qi wireless charging.

Chargers can be upgraded in the event of any future technology changes and multiple units can be connected together to create more charging points.
