Premium appliance manufacturer Miele has launched a new collection of angled cooker hoods in Bronze Patina, Concrete and Matt Black finishes.

They are designed to be 20% quieter compared to previous models, offering 50dB in the highest setting, with extraction of 875m3/h in the Booster II setting.

Using a 10-ply metal grease filter, which is dishwasher safe, the hoods feature Miele’s CleanCover – an inner surface with powder coating in the hood colour behind the front panel to protect the fan and prevent contact with electronics.

With a body measuring 420mm high and 230mm deep, the hoods are offered in widths from 600mm to 900mm, depending on the model.

The hoods also feature a steeper glass front panel with 70˚ angle to create more headroom for the user, with front panels available with or without an opening or edge extraction.

Each new angled wall hood is operated by touch controls, with selected models offering DynamicWhite for individual adjustment of dimmable, energy-saving 3.2W LED lighting colour temperature via the Miele app.

The new collection includes A++ energy rated DAH 4970 in Patina Bronze (pictured) and Concrete and DAH 4980 125 Gala Edition in Matt Black with DynamicWhite lighting and Con@ctivity for automatic switch-on with a compatible Miele WiFi hob.

Boasting SmartControl on the glass hoods provides a range of fan settings, as well as fan run-on for 5 or 15 minutes to further reduce moisture and odours.

In addition, they feature benefits include filter indicators and an AirClean filter as well as individual activation, deactivation and lighting dimming with a separate LED button and three levels with DynamicWhite lighting.

Both models come with Con@ctivity for automatic switch-on when using compatible Miele WiFi hob,  automatic lighting, fan levels and run-on time.

Con@ctivity Plus can be used for automatic control during pyrolytic cleaning in the oven for fresh air throughout the kitchen.

Designed to complement matt black appliances, the DAH 4980 125 Gala Edition features an edge extraction panel in matt black and top control bar in SmartControl White.

The glass surface can be used with extra-strong magnets to stick shopping lists and recipes on and it can also be written, painted or drawn on with chalk pens.

Completing the line-up,  the DAH 2960 Escala is B-energy rated, measures 900mm and comes in Obsidian Black with matching glass panel and canopy.

It features ComfortControl for vapour and cooking odour extraction, individual operation of lighting with a separate LED button, along with Con@ctivity 3.0  as well as Con@ctivity Plus.
