Sink and tap manufacturer The 1810 Company has launched Maya, which brings together the traditional aesthetics of a Belfast sink with the functionality of quartz granite.

Unlike ceramic Belfast sinks, which expand and shrink during the manufacturing process, The 1810 Company reports quartz granite has a 0% dimension tolerance.

Available in a Black or White finish, the sink has deep bowls for washing large pots and pans, straight sides and a flat bottom to allow easy stacking in the sink.

With the quartz granite material reported to be resistant to scratches, chips, and stains and heat, up to 280°C, it means Maya is tolerant to boiling water.

Founded in 2009 with premises in North Wales and a trade showroom in the Business Design Centre, London, The 1810 Company was recently acquired by German sink manufacturer Schock.
