The Flexbone 2Easy is a floating mat system, where no adhesive is needed underneath.

Flexbone Varied is a branded mat system, with the same installation process as other fixed cavity mats systems in the market.

Subsidiary of Ardex, BAL has its UK headquarters in Trentham, Stoke on Trent, where it manufacturers its products and has a research and development centre.

It made its first product BAL TAD, a ready-mix adhesive, in 1963 and according to the company it also made the first epoxy grout.

Adding to its milestones, BAL reportedly made the first tile adhesive with rubber crumb, the first variable setting tile adhesive and first anti-bacterial grout.

BAL manufacturers under both BAL and Dunlop brands.
