Distributor Hafele has now added Alusplash splashbacks to its portfolio, which are made from aluminium, as an alternative to glass, acrylic and tiles.

The  splashbacks have undergone FIRA tests so can be used behind hobs, including gas.

The product is also eco-friendly, as not only is it 100% recyclable but the manufacturing process uses less energy to product them than glass alternatives, reports Hafele.

Alusplash splashbacks come in a high gloss finish and are available in 10 metallic colours.

These include Petrol Blue (shown), Latte, Black, Warm Grey, Blueberry, Olive Green, Ice White, Ocean Wave, Brushed Steel and Space Silver.

Product manager at Hafele Andrew Billingham commented: “We decided to introduce the Alusplash splashback to our product portfolio because we noticed a gap in the market for affordable options that give a seamless run of colour and are suitable for use behind the hob.

“Giving the same beautiful, unbroken finish as glass – but without the price tag and complex installation – the Alusplash range perfectly fills this gap.”

He added: “Consumers are becoming savvier about sustainability, and this is leading to increased demand for fittings that are built following eco-friendly principles.

“Alusplash is a great example of a product which has been designed with sustainability in mind.”

Alusplash decors are available in its Elegance collection and in Pastel colours.
