Tile profile, waterproof membrane and underfloor heating systems manufacturer Schluter-Systems has introduced Ditra-Ps to prevent cracks in stone floor coverings.
According to the company, the uncoupling mat allows for independent movement between the floor covering and substrate and joins its Peel & Stick family of products,
Designed to be easy to install, Ditra-PS has a pressure sensitive release film on the back of the membrane.

The membrane can be repositioned as often as required, provided no pressure has been applied, to ensure the product is placed correctly.
Once pressure has been applied, the mat adheres to the substrate and is immediately ready for tiling, with no tile adhesive required.
According to Schluter-Systems, it can even be used with tile, stone and other hard floor coverings.
It states the mat can even be used with P5 green chipboard, which is not suitable for use with traditional tile adhesive.
The Schluter-Ditra range also encompasses Ditra-Heat and Dirt-Heat-Duo, both of which enable the installation of electric heating cables.
Ditra-Heat is not just an substrate for ceramic tiles and natural stone, but can also be used for warming wall areas, with heat output controlled via Alexa, as well as the manufacturer’s App, or conventional controls.
The membrane is available in a choice of mats or rolls.
