Finnish manufacturer of sanding equipment Mirka demonstrated its range of tools and abrasive products at Kbb Birmingham.
The company used the event to introduce its Deos Delta sander, a triangular orbital sander which can be used for working in tight angles.
Business sector manager for Wood at Mirka Chris Brook explained it uses a system that features across its range of tools, so the operator is working in a dust-free environment.
It also focused on an abrasive product Iridium, which is multi-holed and paper-based which has been designed for speed of sanding and offer “the most productivity possible out of one disc, whilst also maintaining a speed and quality of finish.”
Brook reported the show had been “very busy” and the company had been demonstrating the use of its tools for most of the day.
He said: “We were concerned [the show] may not have been as busy as previous times, due to certain things happening currently in the news, but to the contrary I think it’s been exceptionally busy.
“Possibly it’s been even busier for us than the last time we were here two years’ ago, so – superb.”
