The collection includes DailyFresh in its mid-range appliances which controls humidity and reportedly keeps fruit and vegetables for twice as long.

While the top-end model features PerfectFresh Active, which controls humidity and temperature separately to the rest of the fridge, which claims to keep fruit and vegetables fresh for up to five times as long.

PerfectFresh Active is a step on from Miele’s existing PerfectFresh Pro feature, visibility showing freshness by spraying a fine mist waterfall on to the contents of the crisper drawer

It’s a method that is used in commercial environments and works by converting water into a fine mist, spraying it into the drawer every 90 minutes and every time the door is opened for optimum humidity.

The water container has a 120ml capacity and only needs to be refilled every two to three months.

In addition, the K7000 refrigeration collection features CleanSteel back panels, a new TFT touch display and shelf lighting.

Completing the specification line-up is a FlexiTray glass shelf that rotates from back to front for easy access as well as in-door racks that can be adjusted to suit requirements.

The K7000 collection also features WiFi as standard, allowing users to adjust the temperature via the Miele@home app on their smartphone or tablet as well as receive notifications should the door be left open.

Miele has recently opened its third experience centre in the UK, allowing consumers to interact with live appliances and experience new technology.
