So much more than a passing trend, designing style-led products that are sustainable is vital for our future.

Changing how our kitchens are designed and how we use them can make a positive impact on the planet in the longer-term.

That’s why Abode is committed to providing designers and developers with innovative, design-led solutions that are kind to the environment, better for our lifestyles and good for our homes.

Style

Hot water taps don’t all look the same. With a wide range of contemporary and classic styles to choose from, plus on-trend finishes from matt black to brushed brass, designers can enjoy creative freedom while incorporating this latest technology into the kitchen.

Steaming hot

While hot water taps are increasingly popular among consumers, for designers and installers systems that deliver the water literally at boiling point present a challenge in regard to Building Regulations.

However, taps that produce steaming hot water at a maximum 98°C are eligible to meet WRAS approval requirements.

So opt for a product that has gained approvals for all components in the form of WRAS certification.

The Pronteau by Abode collection offers an array of designs with current WRAS approvals or are WRAS pending.

An allowance to set the boiler to different temperature settings means the temperature for making the perfect brew is only a click away, so it’s a win-win for style, convenience and safety.

Sustainable

Having filtered water on tap helps change consumer habits for the better, away from single use bottled water, wastage and energy consumption towards a greener alternative.

All of these are important steps, of course, but for a sustainable future we need to go further.

When the filter itself can be recycled, it reduces plastic waste to its bare minimum and is another positive step in a greener direction for our homes and for the planet.

A step forward in further enhancing hot water tap sustainability, a free filter recycle scheme was introduced on the full Abode hot water tap offer in April 2021.
