Mereway has trio of Award success

Winner of a regional business award and shortlisted twice in a local business award

Kitchen, bathroom and bedroom furniture manufacturer, Mereway has won a sustainable regional business award and named a finalist in two categories of a local business award.

Mereway scooped the Sustainable Manufacturer of the Year category in the Made in the Midlands Awards. The regional business awards, run by Insider magazine, were presented in front of more than 200 of the Midlands manufacturers and Mereway will now represent the region in the Made in the UK Awards.

The judges reported that what the company was doing to reduce CO2 emissions, cutting waste, recycling and training its staff was “a game changer”.

In addition, thebusinessdesk.com West Midlands Business Masters Award has also shortlisted Mereway in its Manufacturer (SME) and Employer of the Year categories.

Mereway recently celebrated 11 employees achieving 20 years’ of service and expanded into the bedroom market with the recent launch of its Trend Bedrooms collection.

Marketing director of Mereway Graham Jones commented on the company’s awards achievements: “We have always been dedicated to manufacturing top quality products without compromising our core values”.

He continued: “We believe in using sustainable materials wherever possible and valuing our staff by rewarding their hard work and loyalty.” The Made in the UK Awards are held in Liverpool in July and the West Midlands Business Masters Award winners will be announced on June 18, 2014.
