German furniture manufacturer Nolte Kitchens UK has acquired 100% of the shares in privately-owned retailer The Kitchen Group.

The Kitchen Group has six retail shops which will now form part of the Nolte UK distribution network.

Located in Sevenoaks, Battersea, Tunbridge Wells, Hampstead, Milton Keynes and Nottingham, The Kitchen Group stores fit into Nolte’s existing retail network, as there is no geographical overlap.

It follows Nolte’s takeover of In-toto and marks the next step in market penetration for the company in the UK with its long-term strategy of building and strengthening a “comprehensive” dealer network.

Adding to its distribution network and integrating franchise businesses within Nolte’s structure, the company aims to increase brand awareness and gain authority in the contract and project sectors.

Country manager UK at Nolte Chris Rushby explained: “The Kitchen Group is well known for premium kitchens Made in Germany and has a strong retail and project presence.

“Moving forward, the sole brand focus will be on Nolte and enhancing both retail and project activities by providing excellent services to end customers, architects and developers alike.”

As part of the acquisition, The Kitchen Group studios will be refurbished and supported with a nationwide marketing campaign to strengthen the business.
