Kitchen furniture manufacturer Bauformat has been awarded the ‘Top Employer’ quality seal, reaching Grade A.

The certificate was provided by an independent authority, the German Institute for Quality Standards and Control.

An anonymous staff survey, the benefits offered by the employer and information from Human Resources formed the basis for evaluation.

The Löhne-based company, which employs 400 members of staff, scored at least 80% to receive a Grade A.

According to the furniture manufacturer, it attests a company culture with attractive employer benefits, which include flexible working hours, the option to work from home/mobile work, free language courses, company bikes for lease, workplace health management with classes provided by Sport Reha Herford as well as a company pension scheme and capital forming benefits.

Managing Director Sabine Brockschnieder, whose responsibilities with the baumann group include Human Resources, commented:“First of all, the certificate is fantastic for Bauformat to send positive signals to future trainees and applicants.

“Also, the survey gave us the opportunity to get feedback from our staff and find out where we can still improve, and it is really great to see that our team is so happy already!

“What is more, now we have independent proof of something we have been claiming for years: The kitchen family is not only about beautiful kitchens.

“It is about being there for each other – as is customary in a family.”

Bauformat is part of the Baumann Group, which recently launched an e-academy for its UK retailers as a result of the COVID pandemic halting factory visits and face-to-face presentations.
