Social media platform TikTok has become a source of kitchen inspiration for consumers, with #KitchenTok videos amassing 128.9million views, according to Magnet Trade.

The national kitchen supplier has analysed the top kitchen trends under the #KitchenTok hashtag and reports kitchen organisation is number one, having amassed 1billion views on the social media platform.

It found the same topic has been gaining attention across Google, YouTube and Instagram, with more than 200,000 searches a week.

Country Kitchens, Modern Kitchens, Quartz countertops and kitchen storage made up the remaining top five trends consumers were looking for online.

In addition, Magnet Trade has also revealed the top 10 hashtags for kitchen trends, with the most popular as #kitchenhacks.

This has achieved more than 8.1billion views, with #KitchenDesign coming in third at 1.1billion views.

Out of the top 10 hashtags, four were connected to storage and organisation, including #kitchenhacks amassing 8.1billion views, as well as #Kitchenorganisation, #Kitchencleaning, #Kitchenrestock.

And the most viewed and liked TikTok videos on kitchen organisation are for utensil organisers at 680k views, organised fridge and clean cleaning cupboards/storage at 488.kk and 223.5k respectively.

In addition, Magnet Trade reports clear jars has received 88.3k views and searches for glass jars on Amazon are now reaching 3,000 per month.

Architect Laura Jane Clark recently partnered with Hafele on its research about functional living spaces and found lack of storage was a key concern for consumers.

However, it has also been suggested organisation meets the trend for videos that are “oddly satisfying” which provide an autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) or a feeling of well-being,

Magnet Trade believes the craze for kitchen organisation is only likely to continue as search demand has increased by 325%.
