The Bathroom Manufacturers Association (BMA) has announced Jo Salter, motivational speaker and first female jet pilot in the Royal Air Force, as a speaker at its conference.

The BMA’s Annual Conference which takes place on September 16-17,  at the Queens’ Hotel in Leeds, will feature keynote talks, panel discussions, and networking opportunities centred around the theme of “building growth.”

As part of a programme of speakers, Salter will talk about the  “The Growth Mindset” and joins architect and interior designer Oliver Heath and chief economist of Expedia Mohammed Chaudhri.

Salter was the first female fast jet pilot in the Royal Air Force and has built a career in business and advocacy.

After joining the RAF at the age of 18, Salter earned her wings as a jet aircraft pilot in 1992 and rose to the rank of flight lieutenant.

Since then, she has transitioned into the business world, holding leadership positions and making contributions to sectors such as technology and investments.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, she is a passionate advocate for social causes, serving as a Trustee of The Royal Air Force Club and an Ambassador of the Global Angels charity.

Her commitment to empowering women and youth aligns with the values of the BMA and its members.
