BMA to host BIM seminar

Event forms part of two-day business Conference

The Bathrooms Manufacturers Association (BMA) will be hosting a BIM seminar, as part of its two-day conference at Crowne Plaza Heythrop Park on October 12-13, to aid the industry in understanding BIM.

The BIM seminar will take place on October 12, along with a charity golf tournament, which will be followed by a day-long programme of seminars on October 13, chaired by journalist Michael Buerk.

From 2016 all Government related building projects must be submitted under a BIM process, which is validated and monitored under the laid down procedure.

BIM looks at the build, maintenance and demolition across the lifetime of a building, and underpins Government’s objections to reduce waste, carbon emissions and use more sustainable products and methods.

The BIM seminar will see leading experts from Applecore Designs, Trowers & Hamlins LLP and Courtprice discuss the topic.

The second day of the Conference event will see speakers as diverse as co-founder of design agency SeymourPowell Dick Powell, former head of digital marketing for Microsoft Allister Frost, who will be talking about businesses can keep up with social media, plus UK and Europe retail trend expert Professor Joshua Bamfield.
