USA refrigeration manufacturer names UK distributor

American built-in, undercounter refrigerator manufacturer U-Line will now be distributing its products in the UK through DR Kitchen Appliances. The U-Line Modular 3000 range of undercounter ice making, refrigeration and wine chilling products has been designed to fit European kitchen sizes in 450, 600 and 900mm widths.

Sales director of DR Kitchen Appliances, Peter Allatt commented: “We’re very excited to be adding U-Line to the brands we already represent and look forward to introducing the products to the UK market over the next few months.”

He continued: “We believe that studios, interior designers and homeowners will be taken by the high quality and smart design of the products, as well as their ease of installation and integration into existing spaces.

“There’s a general lack of high-quality, premium undercounter appliances here, especially those than can be incorporated within cabinetry, and the U-Line range meets that need very well.”

The UK distribution announcement follows on from U-Line opening a European office in Finland and appointing Showtime Essential Kitchen Products as its Irish distributor.

Vice president of sales and marketing, Mark Russell (pictured) has overseen the European office set-up and the sales operations in Europe.

Wisconsin-based U-Line, which also has a West Coast office in Laguna Beach California, has celebrated its 50th anniversary and it adds to DR Kitchen Appliances existing portfolio of brands which include Elica, KitchenAid and Viking.

Distributor DR Kitchen Appliances will be exhibiting at kbbBirmingham from March 2-5, 2014.
