Duravit records EURO 380million turnover

UK among the largest growth regions, bringing international share to 81%

The Duravit Group has reached a record €380million turnover for the first time in 2013, exchange rate adjusted, with production growing by 4.3%.

It saw an increase in sales by 4.1%, unadjusted by 0.6% compared with the previous year, and achieved a profit growth after tax with an increase in operative cash flow.

CEO of Duravit, Frank Richter reported: “In 2013, Duravit again experienced growth in important markets and thus reported a very good operating result.”

It cited the success of its Durastyle bathroom series, internationally, and that Happy D.2 series “far exceeded expectations”.

The UK, USA, Tunisia, Turkey and China were among the largest growth regions, which includes 35 affiliated companies and a presence in 120 countries. Duravit also showed growth in South American, with a new sales company in Brazil, and in Asia.

The total international share of turnover was around 81%.

In addition, Duravit made its largest investment in Germany as its Meissen location, including the conversion of the Duravit Technology Centre (DTC) that opened in March 2014. It forms one of the company’s 12 training and presentation centres.
