Global brand for kitchens and bathrooms Grohe has divided its EMEA region, following a slowdown in demand in Europe, and will return to ISH in March 2025.

Grohe redefines European region and returns to ISH 2025

The announcement Grohe will also “actively” participate in trade organisations “to drive collective progress in a challenging global climate” follows a sales decline of 17%, on a local currency basis, in the Lixil EMEA region over the last fiscal year.

Lixil introduced a new regional set-up for the EMEA region, in April, splitting it into two with Europe and IMEA, comprising India & Subcontinent, the Middle East, including Turkey, and the African continent.

Grohe reports it better caters for diverse market requirements and conditions and enhances support for customers.

Additionally, it states the set-up will facilitate expansion opportunities in the IMEA region for its portfolio beyond the Grohe brand, signalling Lixil’s broader ambitions for growth and market penetration.

Leader of Lixil International Bijoy Mohan commented: “Our roadmap for the upcoming fiscal year reflects our unwavering commitment to our consumers and customers, product leadership, and organisational excellence.

“A first highlight was our recent presence at Milan Design Week where we showcased the pinnacle of our portfolio with Grohe Spa.

“Through product innovations and collaborations with key industry partners, we are confident in our ability to drive sustainable growth, delivering value to our customers and stakeholders alike, empowering them to thrive in a dynamic market environment.

“In the face of challenging global market conditions, our international business, especially in Europe, experienced a notable slowdown in demand throughout the year.

“To address these unprecedented challenges head-on, we have implemented strategic measures for the Grohe brand and the European market.

“We are confident that these proactive initiatives will not only mitigate the impact of adverse market conditions but also enhance our profitability throughout the fiscal year ending March 2025.”

Grohe reports investment in its manufacturing facilities, such as its Lahr factory sees a hand shower leaves the new production line, every four seconds, which equates up to 19,000 hand showers per day.

Out of out the 200 product variants which can be manufactured on the line, without reconfiguration, is the Red Dot and iF Design Award-winning Tempesta handshower.

In  July 2024, the company will launch the Grohe Rapido Shower Frame, with preassembled fittings, designed to simplify installation of concealed showers.
