As part of its #DoItTogether campaign, appliance brand Indesit has worked with influencers to encourage parents to involve their children in chores and improve gender balance in domestic duties.
A number of family influencers reviewed Indesit appliances and encouraged their family members to take on the chore of completing the housework.
Louise Pentland, who boasts over 2.4 million Instagram followers, tested an Indesit Innex washing machine, with Push&Wash function.
Push&Wash offers cleaning in 45 minutes at the push of the dedicated button, without having to adjust any of the settings or pressing start.
Pentland’s eight year old daughter found the Indesit washing machine easy to operate, as she commented ‘Now I can do all the washing!’.
According to a recent Indesit study, 85% of women claimed to be solely responsible for delegating household chores.
In addition, women also felt they did more than their fair share of the chores themselves, with 76% carrying out all the domestic jobs.
In response, influencer Sarah Akwisombe let her husband and daughter bake banana bread using the Indesit Aria built-in oven, with the recipe featured on the Indesit Turn&Cook app.
Whereas mum of five Jade Arif reviewed the freestanding Push&Go slimline dishwasher that has 10 place settings and an A++ energy rating.
She commented: “Mine and Mellie’s absolute favourite feature is the BabyZoo on the top tray. The BabyZoo is bright and colourful, it’s made for all baby and toddler cups and utensils.
“Even better – it’s away from where we put the oily dishes on the bottom. The racks are set out so well and are simple to organise, so Mellie has no problem helping out at all!”.
