Outlay also includes staff training and development of an apprenticeship scheme
Shower tray manufacturer JT has invested £1million in technology to support product development over the next 12 months and aid expansion.
As part of this outlay, and alongside the manufacturing capital, Leeds-based JT has also revealed plans to invest in staff training and an apprenticeship scheme.
It follows a six figure investment, last year, in its production site and extenstion of a night shift to boost manufacturing capacity.
Founded in 1988, JT reports it makes one in five shower trays for the UK, and the seven figure investment will be used to meet the demand for home and international customers.
Managing director of JT Paul Crossley said: “This investment is the projection of our proud 26-year history and will not only build on our quality service to our customers, but also lead the market in design and innovation.
“We know the quality of our design and innovative features in our products have made JT a British manufacturing success and with this investment, we hope to exceed our customers’ expectations and really build on our position as the UK’s number one, not only for product and quality, but for service and efficiency.
“We have ambitious growth plans and this investment will support the ambition of our multi-skilled team.”
