Supermodel Kate Moss showcases her first foray into home interiors with Yoo

Supermodel Kate Moss has unveiled her first foray into interiors with the Barnhouse created by Yoo, a partnership between international property entrepreneur John Hitchcox and Philippe Starck.

Set in The Cotswolds, the five-bedroom house is available to buy, with prices expecting to start from £2.5million.

All the interiors have been chosen by Kate Moss offering “a displaced glamour within the woods – creating a juxtaposition of traditional elegance and modern design.”

Designed around family spaces, and central to the home, the Barnhouse features an open plan kitchen with indigo blue cabinets and brass cup handles, solid concrete island and slate countertops.

West Country-based craftsman David Haddock, who built Moss’s dressing room at her London home, has also created furnishings including: a customer-built dining table with benches, four poster stainless steel bed and TV cabinet featuring a thunderbolt in homage to David Bowie.

In addition, The Barnhouse features art work by Damien Hirst and Moss’s own collaboration with Jake and Dinos Chapman and Chris Allen.

Kate Moss commented: “John [Hitchcox] and I became friends through our love for the English countryside (and the pub)…When he told me about the Barnhouse in the middle of silver birch wood I was intrigues and then excited to become a part of the design team. We have created a luxurious haven in the woods, a perfect place to escape with family and friends.”
