Family-owned company opens 25,000sq ft facility

Kitchen furniture supplier Kesseler has opened a factory in Nottinghamshire, where the company has invested nearly £700,000 in equipment alone, doubling its capacity.

Established in 2010, the family-owned company supplies modern and traditional kitchens in varying price groups. It has opened a 25,000sq ft facility which includes a showroom featuring a working kitchen and its patented carcass.

Kesseler announced the investment in April 2014, which has included a CNC router and an edgebander equipped to apply PU glue for a waterproof edge on all carcasses and factory-produced doors.

Commercial director Scott Slater said: “Our new facility allows us to pursue our goals and expand our network of kitchen studio partners – a process which has begun in earnest.” He concluded: “We are living proof that a UK kitchen manufacturer can outperform importers in terms of design, quality and service. This investment was a vital step to enable us to bring a great 21st century British brand to a wider audience.”
