Kevin Keegan OBE hosts Kbsa Awards

The Kitchen Bathroom Bedroom Specialists Association (Kbsa) has announced former manager of football and player at England and Liverpool FC Kevin Keegan OBE will host its Designer Awards.

Keegan began his football career in 1968 at Scunthorpe United, making his debut at the age of 17.

During his career he played at Liverpool, Hamburg, Southampton and Newcastle, as well as the national side.

He captained England for six years, until his international retirement after the 1982 World Cup.

Keegan was capped 63 times, scored 21 national goals and became a football manager.

National chair of the Kbsa Richard Hibbert said: “We are delighted that Kevin Keegan will be joining us at the awards ceremony.

“As a sportsman that has experienced top level competitions, he will have a lot to offer Kbsa retailers competing to win a coveted Designer Award.”

The Kbsa Designer Awards will be presented across six categories:

  • Kitchens up to £25,000
  • Kitchens £25,000-£50,000
  • Kitchens over £50,000
  • Bathroom Designer
  • Kitchen Concept
  • Young Designer

The Awards dinner will follow the Kbsa conference, which will be held at the Stratford Manor Hotel, Stratford-upon-Avon on September 25.

Founded in 1978, trade association the Kbsa represents the interests of independent kbb specialists.

Over 100 brands supplying the industry support the Kbsa and its objective of promoting professionalism and excellence in the independent, specialist retail sector.
