German refrigeration manufacturer Liebherr to appear at Grand Designs
German refrigeration manufacturer Liebherr will be showcasing its A++ and A+++ models, plus its TipOpen handleless wine cabinets at the Grand Designs show, held at Birmingham’s NEC from October 9-12.
It will be exhibiting as part of the Grand Kitchens & Bathrooms zone, showing premium freestanding, integrated and built-in refrigeration options.
Hero of the stand will be its 600mm built-in, handleless wine cabinet (UWT 1682) with TipOpen technology.The door is operated by a light tap, which opens it by 70mm and it closes automatically if not opened any further after 3 seconds.

The wine cabinet will be joined by a freestanding black glass fridge freezer (CBNPgb 3956). It is energy rated A++ and boasts the company’s BioFresh technology, which Liebherr claims stores food up to three times longer
National Sales Manager, Stephen Ongley ,commented on the latest refrigeration trends “With the rise in open plan living we have seen an increase in refrigeration appliances being used as a ‘style’ statement in the kitchen. Key on everyone’s shopping list is energy efficiency and keeping food fresher for longer, as people strive to become more ‘socially’ responsible whether its reducing energy or food waste”.
Liebherr has got back on its feet following a fire which destroyed its UK HQ.
