Belgian induction, extraction and lighting brand Novy won a Best of KBIS Silver Award at the USA kitchen and bathroom trade show KBIS in Las Vegas.

Its Novy Shelf Pro lighting was presented the award for the Game-changing Innovation category.

Part of its Designer Lighting collection, Novy Shelf Pro is a kitchen shelf with LED illumination which is operated by touch-free, gesture control.

It enables the user to activate, adjust the intensity, direction and position of the light beam by using hand gestures beneath a sensor.

Light can be directed above or below the shelf, changing form task lighting to ambient hues, and from a palette of colours above the shelf.

Made from recycled materials, Novy Shelf Pro is available in a choice of widths from 900mm up to 3000mm.

Novy has recently launched into the United States, as part of Middleby Residential’s portfolio of brands.

The export programme is led by business and brand development director Owain Harrison, with plans to launch in Australia and South America during 2024 and into 2025.

Part of the Middleby Residential Premium Channel, Novy has also outlined “aggressive” growth plans for the UK.

Owain Harrison and global CEO of Novy Francis Gistelinck were at KBIS to accept the award at the Las Vegas Conference Centre.

Already a recipient of an international Red Dot – Product Design Award, Owain Harrison commented on the KBIS win for its Designer Lighting: “Our touch free, gestured controlled Designer Lighting Collection is truly innovative and we are delighted that it has achieved such prestigious recognition in the United States.”
