Winner of the Efficiency Improvements category for council work

UK designer and manufacturer of the 1.5 flush toilet has won the Efficiency Improvements category of the Toilet Association Awards.

It was recognised for its work with Brighton & Hove City Council, providing public toilets for the Royal Pavilion Gardens.

The authority has been trialling eight Propelair toilets, which the Propelair claims could save up to 1.6million litres of water per year, compared to a 9-litre flush model.

CEO of Propelair Garry Moore said: “The award reflects the dedication of the Propelair team. Our work shows how we can help local authorities reduce their costs; thereby keeping facilities open, and cut their carbon footprint while improving hygiene. The authority’s commitment to sustainability, money saving and hygiene is clear and it’s a pleasure to work with them and to serve the people of Brighton and Hove.”

Propelair has recently received a £2.6million investment to build stock and grow its sales.
