Robotic kitchen, complete with arms, will prepare and cook recipes

If you thought domestic robots could only be found in Hollywood blockbusters or sci-fi TV series, then think again. A robotic chef could soon be coming to a kitchen near you.

Moley Robotics will be showcasing the world’s first robotic kitchen at its North London laboratory in September.

The proof-of-concept, fully-working model is currently being developed for production and is expected to be released in 2018.

It is already programmed to make crab bisque but users will be able to choose dishes from an iTunes-style library, where they can choose from preset meals or upload their own personal recipes.

Robotic arms will then swing into action and be able to prepare and cook the recipe to meet the required outcome.

Launched at the Consumer Electronics Show in Shanghai, earlier this year, the robotic chef won ‘Best in Show’.
