MD Gary Walters takes on full ownership of the company
Managing and technical director Gary Walters, in partnership with James Diver, will be taking on full ownership of specialist stone supplier Stone Age, following chairman Jo O’Grady stepping back from the business.
Founded in 1988, the business supplies flooring and stonework residential and commerical projects, employs more than 30 people, and has showrooms in London, Bristol and Hertfordshire, where it also has a factory and warehouse
Jo’Grady commented on the move: “This is a natural progression for the company; as Richard and myself take a step back we look forward to seeing Stone Age in safe, experienced and importantly, committed hands that will take the company to the next level.”

Sally O’Grady will remain with this business as company secretary.
Gary Walters joined the company as technical director in 1989 and more recently took on the managing directors’ role.
James Diver has worked with Walters on projects for the past 26 years and is now a permanent addition to the team.
Stone Age already has plans to expand its worktop in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, and find new London showroom premises.
Walters said: “James and myself have a great appreciate for the time, effort and determination that Jo, Richard and the team have invested in establishing and building the business over the last 28 years. Stone Age is a force to be reckoned with in the industry and we look forward nurturing and developing the business for many more years to come.
