Committed to creating 70 jobs over three years

Located in Stoke-on-Trent Tile Mountain has opened the doors to a £10million purpose-built head office and distribution centre.

Tile Mountain’s head office is set on a previously derelict five acre site and comprises a warehouse and office block of 109,00sqft, plus a 7,500sqft showroom with a 2,000sqft mezzanine. It is expected the move will create over 70 jobs over the next three years.

The ribbon cutting ceremony was conducted by the chairman of Stoke City Football Club and attended by 80 guests.

Opening the ceremony managing director of Tile Mountain Jeremy Harris said: “This is a momentous occasion in the history of the firm and the opening of this new, state of the art facility is a statement of our ambitions as a company. The phenomenal growth Tile Mountain has experienced since its inception saw it quickly outgrow the old site, meaning that a new distribution hub and administrative nerve centre was required.

“Just over a year after the initial plans were submitted, we’re here. It is a fantastic building. We’ve committed to create 70 jobs at this site over the next three years and believe that the complex is a fitting home to both the Tile Mountain brand and its expanding workforce.”

Concluding the event, chairman of Tile Mountain Mo Iqbal commented: “Tile Mountain has been a labour of love for those behind the venture and today really is the culmination of years of hard work. We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve been able to achieve in the four years we’ve been trading and the fact that we’ve been able to invest £10million in this 120,000sqft warehouse, showroom and office complex is testament to the incredible growth we’ve enjoyed.

“It’s great to see a brownfield site such as this rejuvenated and we’re confident our presence will prove a catalyst to further regeneration, not just in the Ceramics Valley Enterprise Zone but in Stoke-on-Trent as a whole.”
