Celebrating excellence and innovation in the retail sector, the awards are one of the biggest events in the retail technology calendar.

Virtual Worlds was recognised for the benefits its Augmented Reality and 4D Theatre both provide kbb retailers.

The 4D Theatre was designed to remove traditional barriers faced by kbb retailers, such as limited showroom footprint, ageing displays and lack of information.

It provides consumers with a fully immersive experience, which the company says changes their buying behaviour.

Managing director of Virtual Worlds Nathan Maclean commented: “At a time of increased digital demand and after a year like no other for retailers, it’s quite humbling to win this award.

“As retailers embrace technology in ever increasing numbers, at Virtual Worlds we are proud to be leading the way and providing them with the solutions they need to best serve their customers in 2021 and beyond.”

According to Virtual Worlds, kbb retailers have been using its software more than ever before, reporting record sales at the beginning of 2021.

It stated since the end of 2019, the company has recorded over 64,000 uses per month, with 680,000 product catalogue downloads from its network of retailers across 121 brands in the last 12 months.
