Doors open for first solus Agape showroom
Bathroom retailer West One Bathrooms has opened the doors of its solus Agape showroom in London’s Notting Hill.
The two level showroom features displays upstairs and a consulation and specification area downstairs, and is expected to become a £1million plus turnover studio, according to managing director Duncan Waters.
Waters explained why the company chose to work with Agape on the joint venture: “Agape is an on-trend, design house from Italy. We’ve worked with them for a number of years. We have had steady growth with them and it’s a product we very much like and befits Notting Hill.”

The Agape showroom adds to the company’s existing seven studios, which include Battersea, Clerkenwell, Knightsbridge, Mayfair and Wandworth, as well as Oxshott in Surrey and Tunbridge Wells in Kent.
Speaking about the decision to open in West London, Waters added: “We identified this a few years’ ago as an area we wanted to go – West London. It fills a nice gap for us.”
And the company is planning to continue its expansion, including more solus showrooms, mooted as early next year. Waters comments: “If we feel the relationship is right with the manufacturer and we can identify a suitable location.”
In addition, West One Bathrooms is refurbishing its Knightsbridge showroom, which will be solus with Italian manufacturer Oasis, and it is re-opening in the middle of September 2014.
