Bathroom manufacturer Roca Group UK has expanded its sales team with the addition of two business development managers.

Gary Pusey has been appointed as retail business development manager for West London, whereas Brendan McGowan has been named business development manager for Connacht and Ulster.

Pusey joined the bathroom industry in 2002, starting off in a bathroom showroom, before joining Ideal Bathrooms in 2019.

He said about his new position: “It seemed like a natural progression to join the Roca Group in my current role. I am excited to bring the brands to my existing network, as well as meeting new customers.

“I must say that Laufen is already very well established in the bathroom showrooms of West London. However, I’ll still be seeking out new opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing customers.

As for Roca, I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to promote the brand. There are many exciting new products on the horizon, and I look forward to discussing them with potential customers.”

McGowan started working in bathroom sales in 2014 with McDaids Bathroom Plumbing, a Roca retailer, before becoming a sales representative at hardware distributor Joseph Murphy (Ballina).

He commented on his new role: “In terms of challenges, there is obviously competition in the market place, as in all industries.

“What I will be focusing on is ensuring we maintain a stellar service to our client base, while improving on the fantastic foundations laid down by my predecessor. My aim is to make Roca and Laufen the number one bathroom brand in this region.”

Field sales director of Roca UK Jamie Welch commented: “I’m delighted to welcome Gary and Brendan to the Roca UK sales team.

“Both West London and Connacht and Ulster are key areas where we want to grow the Roca and Laugen brands, while also strengthening existing relationships.

“It’s great that Brendan and Gary will be respectively taking care of these areas, and I’m looking forward to working closely with both of them.”
