Russell Owens named Whirlpool channel director

He has joined the Whirlpool team with a wide and in-depth knowledge of the white goods and electronics industries, from previous roles including sales and marketing director at Samsung Electronics.

Whirlpool UK Appliances Limited, parent company of Hotpoint, Indesit, Whirlpool and KitchenAid brands, has appointed Russell Owens as channel director.

He has joined the Whirlpool team with a wide and in-depth knowledge of the white goods and electronics industries, from previous roles including sales and marketing director at Samsung Electronics.

During his 12 years at Samsung, Owens implemented marketing and channel strategies for its portfolio of white goods, while building and maintaining relationships with major retailers.

In his role at Whirlpool he will work closely with housebuilders, the contract market, kitchen specialists and distributors that serve kitchen studios.

Speaking about his new appointment, Russell Owens said: “With our strong portfolio of brands and products, an award winning in-house logistics service, as well as dedicated after-sales and customer care teams, we plan to increase our success in both the contract and kitchen specialist channels.
