Adding to its Sense Premium collection, kitchen brand Caple has introduced the C2601BS Smart Pyrolytic Oven in Black Steel with a Dehydrate function.

The Dehydrate program helps to draw moisture from foods, ranging from vegetables to pet food, by circulating air around the cavity at a low temperature.

It uses Fan Heat with a preset temperature of 60°C, with options to select 50°C and 70°C, which reportedly retains nutrients and vitamins in foods, while intensifying flavours due to moisture removal.

It allows enables the preservation of foods, as Caple reports by removing moisture it can prevent the growth of contaminants.

Users can simply choose the Dehydrate function, select the temperature they require, and use the Boost option to speed up drying, if required.

The program selections can also be saved to a Favourites section within the oven menu.
