Smeg revamps Cucina oven range

Three coloured ovens announced: stainless steel, black and silver glass

Italian appliance brand Smeg has revamped the Cucina oven range for 2018. The new appliances will remain compatible with the existing Cucina hobs.

Despite historically being a minimalist collection, Smeg has produced three coloured ovens, including stainless steel, black and silver glass; the black and silver glass colourways feature a shiny metal trim.

The stainless steel model features eclipse glass, which is transparent when the oven is turned on, allowing the user clear visibility into the oven cavity; yet when the oven is turned off, it appears completely black.

The range also allows easier cleaning of the oven, as an enamelled interior comes as standard, as well as pyrolytic cleaning or a vapour clean function.

There is also sufficient space for multi-layer cooking and, in addition, selecting the Circulaire function allows you to cook a wide variety of foods at the same time without mixing flavours or smells.

The Cucina range of ovens has also been expanded with the SF64M3DS, SF64M3DX and SF64M3DN all featuring steam technology.

The added steam cooking function can be selected when manually adding up to 250ml of water to create steam in the cavity.

Last week, Smeg announced a limited edition partnership with Disney to celebrate the 90th birthday of Mickey Mouse.
