Distribution hub offers double the capacity

Ideal Bathrooms has invested in Scottish distribution, with a move to a 33,000 sq ft hub in the centre of Glasgow.

The move more than doubles the capacity of the previous warehouse, allowing for over 1,500 pallet spaces.

It mirrors the investment made into improving distribution facilities  at Ideal Bathrooms’ hubs in Milton Keynes, Hayes and Wakefield, which has brought total warehousing space to over 190,000 square feet across the four sites.

Ideal Bathroom’s Scotland area sales manager Craig Gillespiecommented. “The increased investment in Glasgow shows Ideal Bathrooms’ commitment to helping our customers grow.

“Having the larger warehouse enables us to fulfil more orders from our customers and offer next day delivery on a wider range of products.

“The customers I have spoken to are all thrilled we have moved, it means they can have products quicker allowing them to serve their customers better.”

Operations director Kim Kirby-Earnshaw added: “We are always looking for ways to improve in order to maintain our leading position in bathroom product distribution.

“The new centre allows us to continually monitor and review our portfolio so we maintain the required stock levels and the right products at all our centres to be able to continue to meet customer needs with an amazing 99% on time/in full record. It is our commitment to customer service.”
