he iCONstant air is a continuously-running axial fan which uses an electronic flow sensor to ensure the airflow remains constant. In addition, it boasts a humidity sensor to extract damp moist air and prevent moisture forming on cold surfaces, reducing condensation and mould growth.It has been designed to meet the trend for Decentralised Mechanical Extract Ventilation (dMEV) fans in private and social housing.

Operating at 10dB, iCONstant is compliant with Building Regulations having a running rate which is adjustable, with a trickle flow rate of 6,8, or 13 litres/second and a boost flow rate up to 20 litres/second. And according to Airflow, iCONstant has been developed to consume minimal energy with running costs less that £1 a year.

The IPX5-rated fan can be wall and ceiling mounted in a bathroom, kitchen or wetroom and can be fitted within electrical zones 1 and 2. And it comes in two models – a timer version – with a speed set to run for between 15,30 or 45 minutes or Humidity Timer which will boost the speed when a set point is reached, then revert to trickle speed. And completing the features of the iCONstant fan is a Self-Proving diagnostic sequence which automatically checks the functioning of the fan, with an LED warning light.

Continuously monitoring and extracting air, the iCONstant helps designers combat moist, stale and stuffy air, alongside removing biological pollutants such as dust mites.
