The production and supply of existing product ranges from Acorn Bathrooms will also remain unaffected by the sale.

A press statement provided by the company read: “This is an extremely exciting time for both Phoenix and Acorn.

“It will mean that both companies will be in a stronger position to increase their commitment to the industry by manufacturing and supplying the highest quality of products from their UK manufacturing base, as well as offering service levels that are among the best in the industry.

“Phoenix and Acorn are now one of only a handful of truly British bathroom manufacturers.”

Established for around 17 years, Phoenix Bathrooms supplies 2,000 independent bathroom retailers throughout the UK and Ireland.

It has manufacturing and warehouse facilities of more than 90,000sq ft, with products available for immediate dispatch.

Phoenix Bathrooms added 10,000sq ft of space to its warehousing last year, which the company reports was in response to an increase in turnover and sales.
