Ian Hall and Dave Conn take the helm of Utopia Bathroom Group
Utopia Bathroom Group, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary, has welcomed back its founding directors Ian Hall and Dave Conn who have resumed their roles as joint managing directors. Liz Green has also returned in a consultancy capacity to the company.
Ian Hall and Dave Conn handed over the reins to the management team in 2006, although they both retained an active interest in the overall direction of the company.
Since their return, they have conducted a review of the business and as a result there will be product launches later in the year, along with selected range rationalisation and a revised pricing strategy.

Commenting on their return to the business, in a day-to-day management capacity, Ian Hall commented: “Dave and I stepped back from our hands-on role to explore other opportunities although it’s fair to say we have never been far away. Now with a very clear strategy in place for the future direction of the company, the time is definitely right to return and implement this plan.
“The next twelve months will be crucial as we not only consolidate our position within the bathroom industry but also diversify into the bedroom furniture sector.”
Dave Conn added: “It’s great to be back at the helm and we’re delighted at the welcome we have had from everyone. We recognise the true value of the relationships that we, along with fellow founder Liz Green, had built up in the industry. They were fundamental to our original success and we look forward to renewing them as we return to the Utopia way of doing business.”
CEO of Utopia Bathroom Group, Simon Russell left the company in March 2013.
