Furniture manufacturer wins regional business award for Manufacturer of the year
Kitchen, bathroom and bedroom furniture manufacturer Mereway has won TheBusinessDesk.com’s West Midlands Business Masters Awards for Manufacturer (SME) of the Year.
This win comes hot on the heels of Mereway’s Made in the Midlands award win, scooping the Sustainable Manufacturer of the Year category.
The West Midlands Business Masters Award presentation was made at a gala awards evening, which was hosted by BBC news reporter Sarah Falkland. Pictured is group human resources manager at Mereway Kitchens, Stephanie Burgess receiving the award.

The judges chose Mereway because it had re-assessed its operation during the recession and introduced a three-point plan which included staff development, effective use of machinery and assistance to retailers.
Sales & marketing director of Mereway Graham Jones commented on the company’s award recognition: “We have continued to innovate and invest during the recession, ensuring that Mereway remains a strong and successful market leading company.”
As a Made in the Midlands award winner, Mereway now goes forward to The Made in the UK Awards and will compete against 700 other regional winners for the national title. The Made in the UK Awards will be held in Liverpool on July 21.
