The Mira Mode Maxim has been developed to offer a variety of spray combinations, through its dual outlets, which includes a 300mm deluge showerhead with CloudCore technology.

CloudCore has been designed to offer an “easy-clean”, removable central mist core overhead with optional secondary spray for hard water installations.

It is the seventh Red Dot Award for the company, with its previous award presented for Mira Mode in 2017 and follows the presentation of the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for its Mira Sport Max.

Established in 1955, the Red Dot Design Award is an international product design and communication design prize, awarded by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Essen, Germany.

The Red Dot jury consists of around 40 independent designers, design professors and specialist journalists who tested, discussed and assessed each individual product.

The jury commented on the product:: The concept of the Maxim overhead shower has been consistently thought through. Its premium workmanship and timeless aesthetics as well as high quality of use are fascinating.”

Design studio director of Mira Showers Roland Boal commented: Meaningful innovation is key for all manufacturers in order to survive and thrive in the era of smart automation. The Mira Maxim deluge showerhead has been designed to create a truly unique and immersive showering experience.

“Mira’s design DNA seeks to blend advanced technological competence with artistry in form. As such, Maxim’s unique spray combination is complemented by a streamlined profile and a dynamic sprayface that suggests the movement of the water, even when the shower is off.

“The Mira team has challenged the assumption that larger and slimmer is automatically better by focusing on what matters to the end user: the quality of the showering experience, complementing this with a subtle but iconic design.

“This award is great recognition for the whole Mira Showers team that works on digital showers; research shows that the UK is the fastest-growing ‘smart home’ market in Europe, so demand for the latest showering trends isn’t set to slow down anytime soon.”
