Midlands-based Workpays provides training for young people, apprentices, workforce upskilling, redundancy support and those on Universal Credit to re-enter the world of work under the Government’s Restart programme.

The partnership will launch with an open forum event for construction-related businesses on July 12 at Simon Acres Group head office in Irthlingborough, Northants.

It will provide an opportunity to share views, and identify barriers and common issues when future-proofing a workforce.

This follows on from the KBB Careers Day held in March, which brought together professionals interesting in promoting and encouraging young people into the industry.

Group sales director at Simon Acres Group Jordan Burns said: “We are committed to taking action to address the skills gap by working with likeminded organisations.

“Together we will promote the benefits of apprentices and the need to upskill our existing workforce, as well as provide information and solutions back to the industry.”

Managing director of Workpays Alex Glasner added: “We are delighted to join forces with Simon Acres Group who we know are passionate about apprenticeships.

“Only with a larger voice and by giving industry more information can we make a tangible difference to the skills gap.”
