Simon Oliphant promoted to managing director

Simon Oliphant has been promoted to the position of managing director of Uform, following Eamon Donnelly’s move to chairman.

Oliphant joined Uform in 2007 as procurement manager, progressing to operations manager and then general manager in 2013.

Commenting on his promotion, Oliphant said: “I am delighted to be appointed managing director of Uform. With the recent surge in growth and the introduction of new innovative product, it’s an exciting and challenging time to lead such a strong and passionate team into the next phase of growth.

“Our aim is to be easier to do business with and ultimately we want to continue to enhance and add value for our independent kitchen retailers. I am confident that through the recent £3million investment and on-going planned investments, Uform will go from strength to strength and provide the customer with a premium buying experience through products that offer a real point of difference with assured quality.”

Newly-appointed chairman Eamon Donnelly will continue to manage the sales and marketing functions of the business.

Speaking about the recent management restructure, Donnelly said: “We are thrilled to appoint Simon to his new role. He has a tremendous understanding of the kitchen market and the varied needs of retailers, coupled with the right skill set. He will be a significant asset to the company and with his experience, on-going drive and commitment, I have every confidence he will lead and direct Uform to the next phase of planned growth.
